I know very well that not is a clash of titans ... HTC is a great company but it is not a titan, I least of all.
But I want to make partakers of the disservice that HTC (along with Telecom Italy Mobile) provides users like me who have bought a HTC Android system with a Magic 1.5.
So far we have come to version 2.1 with many great innovations and to date neither HTC nor TIM provide a stand for the update.
I refuse to have to go for updates "pirate" unofficial (although it seems to work well). I do not break your head (and not I'll lose the guarantee) and TIM because HTC does not want or are unable to provide this service.
addition, this post was created especially dall'incazzatura that caused me to receive the response from the service.
receive a generic message, translated into Italian by an automatic translator, is an insult and an affront that can not stand as a customer!
REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE (sent December 13, 2010)
"Hello
own a HTC Magic Sapphire (Tim) Android system with 1.5 and now, despite all the new versions of the system and new applications come out, you can upgrade your device to a higher version to 1.5.
Samsung enables its customers to these updates, I wonder why HTC does not yet support its customers to such an upgrade key.
I know that does not depend on the phone company (I already asked them which refer to the ball to you) ... This is an update that HTC could provide independently Tim.
await your instructions, however, are very unhappy with this malfunction.
Greetings "
RESPONSE Customer Support (December 15, 2010)
" Hello Ermanno,
Recently we wrote about the request for the update for the Magic, we are sorry but we have no information right now on this fact, suggest that you check the site one time to another in order to know when will the update is available
Sincerely,
Asmaa "
MY ANSWER CUSTOMER CARE (December 16, 2010)
"Dear Sirs (at least I use this formula and not" hello "... basics of informal communication).
I Received your message about my question previously sent.
It's quite annoying to receive such kind of answers, that you can't support your customers in what a tech company should be always careful, which is the update of your devices. It's also annoying for the fact that you replied in a way as if I had questioned you about how to solve the global warming.
Moreover it's quite frustrating to receive answers, written most probably in english, and then translated with an automatic translator (maybe a free "googled" service); at least you could employ somebody who speaks italian or leave the question/answer in english.
I'm sorry but I'm really disappointed about your fail in service, answers and support. The HTC Magic is itself not such a great device, your bad service is just putting it beneath the "acceptable level".
Useless to add that you've lost a customer, and that my word of mouth will follow.
Yours faithfully,"
Hanno perso un cliente... HTC, in my opinion, does not offer a service and adequate customer support.
