Dear friend, dear friend, Myanmar is implementing a violent repression of peaceful demonstrations, which are taking place across the country for over a month. On September 25 some 300 people were arrested during the protests and three monks were killed: one by a gunshot and the other two as a result of a beating. The next day there were other victims, and at least one journalist was killed. Unofficial sources have told Amnesty International that more than 50 monks were injured.
